Dear friends and professional partners,

For over 35 years, our wealth management firm has gone beyond just constructing portfolios, and has taken a deep interest in what brings our clients happiness and fulfillment in both their professional and personal lives. In this letter, I want to share with you just two hobbies we help educate and advise our clients around: Collecting art and the equestrian world.

In our latest edition of the Sand Hill Interview Series, we delve into a topic that may appeal to art lovers or anyone who has had an interest in starting an art collection. In “Ten Rules for Collecting Art” we investigate the best approach for starting and maintaining a collection of artwork that will bring you joy for years to come.

Personal fulfillment may not just come from your environment, but also from the hobbies you invest in. The equestrian world is, and continues to be, a popular and life-long passion for many people. In our latest blog, “Horse Ownership and You: Investing in Your Passions,” we look into the many disciplines available to horse owners. Whether you are a novice or a seasoned veteran, an avid horse-rider or simply a spectator, there is a sport to suit every taste, and every horse!

We also know that many of our clients are California residents, and we want to ensure that they are aware of the recent legislation that may impact their property taxes and potential plans for property transfer. Proposition 19 narrowly passed in the November 2020 election, and the clock is now ticking as the measure’s new inheritance rules become effective on February 16th.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if we can be of assistance to you and/or your clients pertaining to managing their wealth. In these uncertain times, we are here to support you.

As always we appreciate your connection to Sand Hill.
